I was wondering all this time who this weird hairdo dude was. I hope Jyungo doesn't lose again, he's really strong too but they keep letting him get kinda beaten. Also, Eiko sure disappointed me by giving away Jyungo's martial art to the opponent and getting mad like that. It's understandable coz it's about her friend, but she was able to stay calm enough in that other chapter where she pretended not to know Icchi in an instant to deceive this guy, and now she loses her cool like that. But I guess it makes sense since maybe she was just expecting Icchi to have gotten into some trouble, and not for someone to actually be looking to beat her up. Icchi just barely beat Sakura, who was very strong (even for men's standards) but did not know about Capoeira. Not only is this next opponent apparently much more dangerous but he will also have experience against Capoeira through at the very least this fight with Jyungo. So it's looking rough, Icchi is also injured so maybe Jyungo will take a beating, then we'll get another training montage? I don't see her beating him now. BJ is kinda fucked up though (not that we needed any more confirmation), there was no delay between her third and fourth opponent, but maybe that was unintentional because they know each other? (even though he was clearly aware of that).
Another thing I wonder is if Ichiri's real dad's other daughter that was shown was the younger or the older one, but I think the young one must be in her teens or close to Icchi's age, so the one that was shown was probably the ~20 year old one. I'm curious to see how strong the younger one is. ALSO I'm thinking that the person who we saw approach Buscapé (old homeless dude that taught everyone Capoeira) might be BJ, since we only saw the legs of that person, but they were wearing the same pants and shoes that BJ was wearing that day (and the author seemed to make quite a big deal of showing us these while showing off his prosthetic), BUT Sako has baited me by using the "same exact pants and shoes" panel before (with Baku in the Tower match, although it should've been obvious since he was confirmed to be somewhere else at the time and it isn't necessarily the case now with BJ), so I'm not too sure. But the timing is also very coincidental. BJ appears and then all of a sudden someone finds Buscapé and takes him away (presumably, since he said he was looking for him and called him Master), but it could just be someone else related to BJ (probably not that other homeless looking dude), or maybe someone that followed him, but I'm not liking those hypotheses. Right now, I'll stick to believing that it was BJ who took him away, but that also has its holes; like, the only reason BJ found Ichiri was because he saw that video of Buscapé beating up that robber or whatever, right? But then he's surprised when he learns she knows Capoeira? So was Ichiri not visible on the video and BJ just came looking for Buscapé and then coincidentally found Ichiri and her adoptive family? That sounds very probably but also VERY unlucky. Like fuck, give poor Ichiri a break. Anyway, have been meaning to post my thoughts on this for a while and this is the time I decide to do it, I suppose. Sako's brilliance, amazing foreshadowing, and masterful paneling really is still in full effect in this Manga; and it seems very clear to me that he has been wanting to focus more on action and martial arts for a while now, since it takes over for long periods of time in Usogui as well. Loving this so far! Thanks for the very good work as always, Team Duwang, and for spoiling us with these insane batches! Love yall.
P.S: If you go to Sako's twitter he has videos were he shows off all the capoeira moves seen in the manga so far (I think)! So check that out if you're interested. He also has some cool animation of fights we've already seen. Also he's ripped.
P.P.S: I find it quite funny how Ichiri's real dad got kidnapped and then just eventually takes over the whole organisation coz he's just THAT good. Like, I'm pretty sure they were torturing them about their daughter's location at first and then I guess they made them do work for them while using them as hostages? And then he just popped off so hard that he rose up the ladder? Insane.
P.P.P.S: How do you even keep two hostages for years? You can't just keep them tied to the same chair forever, but oh well. Adoptive dad also seems to have lost no muscle mass whatsoever, despite being tied to that chair all that time. Amazing.
