@Ghostdevil, his idea was never to be like Sakuraba. He isn't selfish and arrogant. He can make plays he wants without him having to do all of the work, especially when the situation grants him a more easy way out.

Ryuu thought about Sakuraba because the way Sakuraba plays is basically 1 v. 11 (once he gets the ball, he never lets go it).

So even if everyone (including his teammates) were against him, Ryuu wants to play confidently his own way (like Sakuraba).

It's the only way to introduce yourself to new players in a new football team (especially when you're trialing)!
If you play shit, it's fucking difficult to get along with others... but as soon as you show everyone the levels, getting accepted becomes a piece of cake!
