So to summarise that last puzzle:
4 buttons, 2 outside and 2 inside a room.
Press all 4 and the top room locks in the 2 ppl pressing those buttons, but opens a new room with a chest. Release inner buttons and you are let out. If the outer buttons was not released before the inner ones, chest is unlocked:
- If the outside 2 cares about the ppl who were locked in and instnatly releases their buttons to hope the closed door opens, or rush to the closed door to see if they can pry it open and let out their friends
- They are let out, but the chest remains locked (possibly permanently as punishment for caring for your partners
- If the 2 outside doesn't care for the 2 that got locked in, and keeps their buttons pressed either to think or observe, and the 2 that were locked in releases their buttons in the meantime
- They are let out and the chest is unlocked, so they get a house key.
- If the 2 outside let go before the 2 inside did either
- because the 2 inside trust the 2 outside to solve the puzzle while they are clearly locked in for some asymmetric puzzling or because the outside puzzle is too easy with more than 2 ppl
- or because the 2 outside understand same as before and figure they need to open the chest before the 2 inside releases and leaves (they trust the 2 inside to keep theirs depressed so they don't get locked in with a chest)
- They find the chest locked, the 2 inside eventually lets themselves out, and possibly the chest is permanently locked.
- If the 2 outside doesn't not only not care for the 2 locked in, but actually wants to try and keep them locked in to be mean. So the 2 inside releases their buttons before the ones outside
- They are let out and the chest remains unlocked. They get the key.
Summary:
To get the key, you either need
to not care about the 2 that get locked in and decide to continue observing, or you need to try and
be actively mean to the ones locked in and try to make them panic and develop claustrophobia.
If you care about your partners, you will not get the key. If you trust your partners to trust you to solve the puzzle while they are locked in, you will not get the key.
I feel like this festival is designed to punish "good relations", and only reward backstabbers, bullies or ppl that simply don't care.
"there's a lot of bullets, but they are limited"
So there are more than enough bullets so you can fire wildly as much as you want. But it is still finite, so the earth is not encountering an apocalypse?
