I doubt that person has actually even read the WN, considering it's not translated as far as I know. Probably just reading too much into a chapter that, typical of Japanese writing, focuses on character exposition instead of the resolution. And assuming that because they can't come up with a way out, neither can the author.

It's such a nice story too. Even till the end of the WN Sophia doesn't just end up saving people but also encourages them to help and stand up for themselves in the face of calamity like she's done in this arc.

Kinda? As you can infer from the final volume's cover and the credit pages of the earlier groups, Vincent vasically turns a new leaf and becomes one of Sophia's admirers. Siegfried the King got deposed of and killed by the 1st Prince but he came back as a walking corpse that's dying. The Crown Prince became a vessel for the Demon King and got killed by Sophia and co. The 2nd Prince was kinda a neutral guy so he survived and supports Vincent as the new king.
