@deadly_11: Is "marjorie" really a shade of or word for orange?
I can't find any support for that usage in English. Beauty brand Revel does sell a shade of
orange nail polish called Marjorie, and it appears that a color-hex.com user once submitted a
matching hex palette with the same name. But those are the only associations between the color orange and the word "marjorie" that came up in a few lazy-ass Google searches. And there are other color products with the same name out there (e.g.
this shade of mauve paint, and
this off-pink nail polish).
According to Wkipedia,
the name Marjorie is "a medieval variant of Margery, influenced by the name of the herb marjoram." But marjoram leaves are green, and its flowers tend to be pale purple or pink, so there's no connection there.
Just curious...
