I was hoping for him to suffer and for her to induce the pain, but, alas, author was unable to resist the temptation of shipping the ML and FL - even though they should never be shipped and the story should have been dark AF.

This chapter already shows, that we've switched from dark drama to cutesy romance without any regard to the abuse, gaslighting, enslavement and torment that happened beforehand. Am I supposed to cheer for them being happy together? REALLY? Is THIS what women want from their "fated partner"?

Is it too much to ask for one FL to not hear her abusive neglectful husband out and make him suffer the same way she has? Maybe find joy somewhere else or hey, kill him off? Like girl, you haven't had a single happy moment with him in all your life. Granted, kinda tough when the husband is all powerful but still, no need to acknowledge him or show a hint of kindness
Maybe if they were both abusive and toxic I wouldn't mind so much.
