Black Hand Scans are looking for a typesetter/redrawer!

The Black Hand Scans translation group is looking to recruit a combined typesetter and redrawer to help out on our various projects. We are a six-person, casual, for-fun, don’t-sweat-it, down-to-earth group who work on whatever catches our fancies at the moment. We see our scanlation work mainly as a means of practicing language and translation (Chinese and Japanese in our case) as well as a way to see our favorite manga through to completion.

We offer you as a member a great deal of shared control on what we work on, training in the skills needed for editing, as well as creative input on our translation and editing work. In return, we ask of you to help out with typesetting and redrawing of the various projects we work on.

The projects that we need help with right now are:
- Noucome H
- Shoujotachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu
- Renai Shikou Seitokai
- ...and perhaps your favorite abandoned or dropped manga?

Projects we have previously worked on:
- Again!!
- Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou (The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior)
- Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! (This Art Club Has a Problem!)
- Boku wa hajikko ga suki
- Henneko Nya
- Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records
- Saenai Kanojo no Sodattekata

Projects we are considering picking up:
- Ningen Shikkaku (No longer human - Junji Ito edition)

We are open to experienced as well as inexperienced typesetters/redrawers who wish to pick up the trade. If you are the latter, we will train you in the ways of typesetting and redrawing.
We do not follow any set schedules, neither are we interested in racing to complete weekly manga ahead of "rival" groups; rather we work on our own terms and when time allows.

We do not have a website or public Discord channel, but instead coordinate our work over Discord, email and Google Drive.
