Saw this development happening earlier way too easily (even if it was for the sake of plot), but they all look real nice and the girls won out in the end.

I'm gonna take a step back from the annihilation jokes for a sec, and be a little serious.

I just wanna say, I really don't see what people have against homosexuality. My two best friends are gay, and I watched them trying to figure out their feelings for two years. And when they finally figured it out, the only thing we could say was "About damn time." I don't think there's anything wrong with being gay or lesbian or whatever, so I'd like to hear an opinion from someone who DOES have a problem with it.

@Epicredeemer you’re trying to reason with a stupid way of thinking...an oxymoron.

As the world is now, it’s easier to convince someone that “others (=people different from the single person) should have less freedom and less rights” than “everyone should have more freedom and rights”. It’s far from every logic, but it’s the situation.

That's nice but really, can't we adress the real problem ? Isn't the old man said it was a FAKE marriage to begin with ? Why suddendly it became a real one and more importantly it's ont said in the contract that the bride had to be Lily neither that Yuri can choose who she gonna marry ? There are several major flow in the solution. The Citrus vibes are way too strong here.

@Lilliwyt I agree, like we said before AFAIK it never was real, I think they just stepped up the drama in the language. My reading is just that Yuri really didn't want to it because it would hurt Lily. And they were mostly referring to making her to it. In addition I think the way the loophole worked is that the language just stipulated that Yuri needed to participate as the bride, and if that happened then the older cousin was left in charge, meaning that festival details (aka the other participant) was up to her. Again supporting the idea it was still just a for show ceremony.

@SqigglesJP If you could please correct me if I am wrong. Is it implied it was to become a real marriage?

Though if that was the case would not Lily and Yuri be married now?
I feel like they indicate in the next chapter that had not yet happened
I'm just not sure.

@DeepFriedJif Ah, sorry for the late reply, I didn't see your ping ( you missed the letter in spelling Squiggles which is why I wasn't pinged ) To be honest there're some plotholes in this story that I myself am clueless too. It was not meant to be a real marriage when the elders brought this up.
