couple of things:
0) i hope some of these descriptions draw out a gag or nosewrinkle of disgust, because reading it in japanese sure fucking did for me
1) Toki already speaks in a fairly detached manner in Japanese, but this ramps up to 11 when she goes into Mission Mode partway through this book. She begins using outright anatomical terms and very military/impersonal speech. Getting this across properly was a challenge but I think it turned out great. Not only is her dialogue different when this happens, but the font is too. I hope you fuckers like Latin!
2) On page 9, Toki tells Sensei she's got some previous experience in dicks which is why she knows so much about the subject of ED or whatever. The raw is: 「僭越ですが以前お仕えしていた方のもとでもよくやっておりましたからー」 Now, there is some ambiguity here as to whether she means a previous employer (whether it's Rio à la page 7, or some previous unknown man) OR if she's referring to her previous line of work, i.e., prostitution or something. The ambiguity stems from the 「以前お仕えしていた方のもと」 part. To me, because I'm just no good at Japanese, it could refer to either an employer or a line of work. Thankfully some ambiguity in English saves my ass because "my previous employer" could also refer to a life of prostitution. I'm literally cheating here.
3) Bunny Toki isn't out yet (only a few days left!!!) so I don't actually know how Global will handle naming her EX skill. In Japanese it's アームギア or "Armgear," so that's what we went with here (actually Xzosk thought to look it up, I had no idea it had anything to do with her kit idk i play global not jp). Hopefully this doesn't carbon date us.
