Seems a lot of people are gonna ask about this, so I'd like to give information on silver dragees.

Per Wikipedia, a dragee "is a bite-sized piece of confectionery with a hard outer shell, which can be made of sugar, chocolate, or other ingredients". A silver dragee is one coated with silver. In most countries these are considered to be edible, but in the USA it is considered inedible, but allowed for decoration.

Yeah so they are totally edible so I guess the author didn't bother looking it up and just went by rumor.

Though to be fair I wouldn't eat them.

Also translator wrote them as lead balls? If they are actually lead you should indeed not eat them but that shouldn't be the case.

I'm guessing the character themselves called it that, and to be fair we're here talking about what it is so it's not exactly common knowledge I'd guess

Not sure why she is nosebleeding. Maybe she has an ignoramus kink.

Edible in name only. Idk about Japan but in the US they aren't even legally allowed to be called edible because the coating on the silver ones contains actual metal.

Have you heard of the periodic table of elements? Most of those are metals. So you can name one as a nutrient, and now you think you can eat them all just fine?

Many of them just pass right through, unless they are spikey, heh.

And no I didn't say all of them are fine, don't put words in my mouth.
