Isn't Korean BBQ Samgyeopsal while Yakiniku is Japanese?

I woke up very early w/ a right leg cramp 2 days ago before managing to go back to sleep.

I love me some legs for days, especially in over-knee socks, but then I don't really have a kink for taller than me girls - so a bit of a conflicting feelings here for me.

Well, I get the hiding their relationship at school but why hide from their family? His sister looks to be a good girl and both families would probably like to know the new boyfriend/girlfriend of their kid.

Wouldn't the day of a big training session be the best day to eat yakiniku? All that extra protein.

Pretty normal in Asian culture (I'm Singaporean myself). I can't speak for the reasons in Japan, but in Singapore, "young" relationships are frowned upon because students "need" to concentrate on studies. There's also the notion that teenage romance isn't serious and won't last long anyway. Parents are also pretty strict about their standards for their children's partners and would strongly encourage (or even attempt to force) breaking up if they don't approve of their partner.

So for various reasons like these, most people end up hiding their relationships.

Do they not realize that those "not serious" romances in schools are how kids learn to how to date and make a longer lasting relationship? No wonder kids then grow up to be adults who don't know how to find a partner, and end up singles for life.

And then every boomer-equivalent is bitching about how young people don't get married nowadays and there are no kids to pay taxes for the retired folks, surprise, surprise. Maybe don't treat romance and family as secondary to work, now that marriage and kids is no longer a duty like it kind of used to be, but an optional path in life.

Apparently not :pacman: Communication issues are so rampant but that's part of the culture as a whole. It sucks
