Wait, she added another Baki reference, huh? I remember the big deal made during the Workplace Observation arc when they went to Akita Shoten publishing house, including an apology page by Norio-sensei.
Seriously, nearly every time with Anna and food, I feel an affinity as another tall person that also has a strong appetite. Eat
all the things! Stuff bigger portions in my mouth than necessary! Taking a bite of something a bit too hot, too. Also the fact that, no matter how much we eat, IT JUST VANISHES INTO THE FIERY FURNACE OF A METABOLISM WE HAVE! Every so often I reflect on the fact I am a food black hole- it goes in, and then vanishes (outside of the waste product, but that's icky). Body fat is a mostly foreign concept to tall people like Anna and myself. Sure, some tall people can get fat, but it's clear Anna is more like myself than those people.
So, yeah, Kana's kinda-sorta curse there about 'be a female who can't ever eat enough' is a bit of a moot point, since Anna is already kinda like that, and it won't have the negative impact one would normally expect.
I mean... if Kana is going to actually pay for it, why's the guy got a problem?
Eh it’s quite possible that there might be a staff discount of sort if the employee is paying for it, if not just out right free
Beyond that, maybe big fella there just disapprove of her silly goobering, all with the whole jpn work culture and all that
The fact he's actually her kouhai makes it especially absurd and humorous. He's the trainee, she's the senior worker, and yet he's giving her the stink-eye about treating a relative and 'goofing off'.
This might be way too early, but I ship Onee-san and her scowling co-worker. I mean, he has a pulse, and that's good enough for her.
Would be nice, really. Shame the note at the end of the chapter says, "By the way, there is no romantic comedy between the older sister and the trainee." I was totally shipping them when I got to this episode in the anime, too.
