This...100% all of this, I keep asking the same question, why TF does Sora simp over this heathen???Asahi is a better person than most. I would be a little salty that my supposedly best friend knew who the person was that I was searching for years for. The person who literally helped her get through a rough time when she was hospitalized. Asahi is also trying to get those two together too despite her own feelings, craziness.
The author gonna have to pull something big out of their ass on why Sora loves Miya so much despite her treating him like trash most of the time.
Same here, keeping something like that hidden for 6 years is fucking crazyAnd Miya continues being the most annoying character.
Honestly, I hoped Asahi had gotten mad at Miya for hiding that secret.
Nobody cares if she's straight, gay, or bissexual. most of people in the comments dislikes her character because she's a selfish person and a liar.I don't understand how every single commenter here seems to not get Myaa's character. She isn't even in the running because she is literally gay. She's not a tsundere, she's not hiding her feelings. She clearly doesn't have any feelings for the guy to begin with and I think she cares about him purely as a friend; it's pretty clear the reason she treats him the way she does is because he's so self sacrificing and blinded by love for her that he keeps getting himself hurt for her, which she probably resents.
Now, it could be possible she's bisexual and has some kind of feelings for him. But because nothing has been indicated of this, I'm going to guess she's just a lesbian and he shouldn't be trying to go after her to begin with.
First off: Imagine if a guy you're not even remotely interested in has been hitting on you for who knows how long without getting the hint, and the person you like is in love with the idea of him. How would you treat that guy?Nobody cares if she's straight, gay, or bissexual. most of people in the comments dislikes her character because she's a selfish person and a liar.
I also don't like how the author is handling her character, if she only liked Asahi would be one thing, but she's constantly cockblocking and deceiving Asahi. And somehow the author tries to hint in some panels that she could possibly be a heroine too.
No point in asking me to be empathetic towards Miya, I've been in a similar situation when I was younger and I didn't act like her at all. I came to the conclusion that it was my fault that I didn't have enough attitude and moved on, that's It.First off: Imagine if a guy you're not even remotely interested in has been hitting on you for who knows how long without getting the hint, and the person you like is in love with the idea of him. And to the point that her sexual orientation doesn't matter, yes it does. Once again, imagine someone who was a gender you're not even into has been constantly hitting on you. Would you not be frustrated to the depths of hell dealing with that person?
Second: so she's a bit selfish, so what? I've seen protagonists in other romcoms do way worse but because they're the protagonist, they get a pass. I'm not saying she should get a pass because other characters do who do the same things, but to reframe your perspective.
I think she's a great character specifically because she isn't a good person; not everyone has to be sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, or at the very least plain white bread.

I don't hate her, but personally she's the big obstacle in Prez's way in pursuing Sora's affection. Not only is Prez cuter and nicer than Mya, the latter doesn't seem to have ANY shot at the former. Also, since -I believe- an overwhelming majority of commenters are male, it's Sora we tend to identify with, so Mya's bad attitude towards him hits a bit harder.I know most people have nothing but hate for Miya, but personally I kind of want to see her fall for Sora. Not sure whether to then end it with polyamory or have one of the girls date him while the other has to move on. While rare, there are some moments where some potential for dere do seem to show through. Like in this chapter, with the way she instantly figures out that he's heading off to help some strangers or something, and afterward goes out of her way to care for him. Then there's also the way she responded to his concern in the prequel extra from Vol 1, smiling while staring at the finger he'd bandaged. I get the feeling that this is one of those cases where she would have fallen for him if she'd met him first. Thing is that, since she is jealous and sees him as a romantic rival, this makes it even harder than normal for her to view this in a positive way. Other stories might have the girl look at him with a wistful "what if" sort of look, or even a look of regret that she hadn't met him first, but for her these thoughts inevitably lead her back to "my romantic rival is someone very easy to love". Could honestly drag that pretty close to the point where she realizes that she's legitimately falling/fallen for him.
