And bonus point, since he's still new at this, he's not at all jaded and could show genuine emotion, making the handholding moment (and I suppose the night) kinda sweet.

i think the manwhore thing would be the most interesting route to take though, and it would make sense to fall down the well of casual sex to realize how meaningless it is. it’s the most fitting character arc for mc

It would, but not sure it's what wants the mangaka. Until now you really seem to read one of those books where someone explain you how to have sex with a lot of girls, but where feelings and love are totally excluded. I don't like that
