Hm, yeah unfortunately a left arm is not sure high on the survival importance. She is a mage, so the arm doesn't even help her fight. Its inconvenient, but with so many supporters back at base for daily life it can easily be worked with. It also will make the girls respect the main party more seeing them lose part of their body for them, so there is a unity plus to it, which is big in this sort of situation. They have the basic healing which can close the wound and avoid any risk of infection, for now that is enough.

Someone seriously underestimating the value of a support character? Should go read A-Rank Party - whatever the full title is - or any other similar manga.
A character is relevant as much as the author want it to be. There is a manga where the most OP character, the protagonist is just a carrier. The useless skill that is actually overpowered is a common trope.
The value of a support come more from actual (J)RPGs, and yes usually to have that boost is truly necessary.

"useless support character"
Can buff, allowing his teammates to fight opponents stronger than them.
Can deflect blows from monsters stronger than his teammates.
Can summon various mobs to help out.
Can scout.
Can cast resist elements that literally nobody in the party resists.
And is doing pretty well strategizing so far considering their circumstances.
Quite literally everyone in his party would die without him digging the trap in the first place.
And that was what he could do so far.

Please, author-san. Add more enemies other than orcs and their familiar. The flame wolf this time proved that you can do it.
I like how this is working out, pacing wise.
If you rush to add all the different types of creatures the author wants to show up, you quickly run out of interesting things to add - you've drawn yourself into a corner.
I like how we're watching them fighting a group of orcs, which has their own hierarchy and style and whatnot. Like a roving band or tribe of raiders/marauders. Once we move away from the school (remember, this whole thing has taken place in a pretty small area, wouldn't make sense to have a huge variety of creatures in a small area either) we'll likely see what else is in this world, hopefully each with their own individual groups and traits.

How come nobody received a level up from killing the fire-breathing wolf boss? Surely Mia herself should be leveling up. Yet it's Arisu, who was doing nothing but delaying the orc boss. And most certainly Nagatsuki should get a few levels at once, if she was still level 1. This whole level up thing sucks noodles.
I think the points go to the team that got last hit, since they're shared by the party, so I don't think Nagatsuki got any. Arisu was closest to a level up.

I hope not, but it woudn't surprise me in the least. The Japanese apparently love such game mechanics, based on how prominent that very thing is in isekai manga.

I disagree. I have said it before. This reads like a Letsplay of a game. The level up gimmick scenes are also getting too repetitive and disrupts the flow of the story. The MC is also getting on my nerve because he is a useless support character but is somehow getting fawned over by his onaholes.
then stop reading it, coming here to complain weeks in a row but still reading is weird
