I do remember in gsnk Nozaki did the same thing with Seo and Oze and only Hori noticed lol, tho I must be thinking of another Chara bc their names are still the same even when gender bent even Haruka’s even since that name is unisex already apparently

I wonder if we’ll get something like that for the 1:39’series but might be unlikely unless the author had designs in mind already

I didn't immediately understand what the twist of this bit was... am I correct that Haruka was implying that she wouldn't think twice about murdering him if she thought that he was hostile to their chances of survival? And that Kanae realized that, even if he could overpower her right then, there would be no way to prevent her from killing him forever without killing her first - but even if he did, the other guys would immediately assume it was him and whatever hangups they had about not killing him would be gone?

One of them being lesbian would be an interesting twist, but not if they try to "fix" her, 'cause that shit's never okay. The housewife mother being lesbian seems unlikely. The mechanic? I'm not sure who you meant by Akane. But as you already said in other comments, all the gender bend characters have the same name. Kanae is the housewife.

I'm still a noob in Japanese. From the little I know, some kind of anagram is a thing in Japanese, but they are split by "syllables" because that's how their language works: consonant doesn't stand alone.
So, Kanae かなえ at most become nakae なかえ, naeka なえか, ekana えかな, enaka えなか, or kaena かえな.

A play from Kanae to Akane needs a conversion from Japanese letters to alphabet, which seems to be something they don't normally think.
Iirc, there was a case in Detective Conan where they did this, and it was considered a big puzzle.

It is interesting how “aggressive” he seems idk if it’s just opposite personality or we’re gonna get a “reveal” that the house wife was a yankee gyaru or something before settling down and having a kid
