Holy shit, this is still ongoing? Always amazed at the insanely slow pace this mangaka has, making it utterly impossible to properly follow/enjoy this character-heavy work (as you forget who is who and why is who, etc), but still releasing chapter-by-chapter instead of releasing in chunks by volume at least.
Or maybe I should blame the publisher more than the mangaka :p

In the very begining BnK was released in bimonthly magazine so each chapter had around 70 pages... Then it was moved to the same publisher's but monthly magazine. So yeaaah first chapters were BULKY.

It's even more insane when you try to track the time in the story. Like, we will start yet another new day next chapter and it's been the same day for... 20 next chapters? Oh boy.

Glad y'all still there, I'm determined to catch up so keep fingers crossed for weekly updates. Uh.

Haha... It definitely feels like we're closer to the end of the story than ever. Premises to the last arc. Many questions are answered (like the questions from summary after volume 20, so maybe if was half point of the manga). In November volume 31 was published... My guess is the story will wrap up in 40 volumes then. (which is still like 9 volumes to go, 2 volumes per year).

They do both, just like every other series out there. Readers can either follow the series monthly in the magazine or buy the volume twice a year. That's the point of serialization.

Bruh I only heard about this manga this week. I put it on Plan To Read because of the lack of recent updates but good to know it's still alive.

I started this manga like 3 times already, as its hard to remember the story after many months of nothingness. Just wait for it to finish.

"Close to the end", another 4 1/2 years. xD

As an outsider looking in through a very narrow view I know this will be likely a naive interpretation, but this chapter hit me that maybe this is the author taking a jab at Japan still to this day having a society based on tradition and status quo. Maybe even beyond the borders and to our world as a whole.
