I have to admit that his explanation is a lot deeper than expected. I was not ready for these feels

Without peeking into the raws, i see some possible scenarios (not spoiler, just guesses):

• Sanzou decides that he needs to complete the trip alone rather than risking any more heartbreak/awkward situations with his pupils, where the pupils obviously chase after him later
• They came into a situation where Sanzou/Goku get into danger (again), and the rescuer decides it's time to take things forward, despite them haven't completed their trip, but then Sanzou realizes that he's still a monk, and ask Goku to wait until the trip ends
• Fast forward to the trip end, we get open harem ending (God please do not let it be this one)

I hope writer have some more tricks up their sleeve, as all the scenarios i've mentioned feels kinda bland, if not repetitive at this point. Fingers crossed we get a satisfying storyline going forward.
