It's a well thought-out plan in theory. Be friendly with the divine trees to lower their guard, separate the two, and then assassinate them.

Not sure if Konohamaru have the stones to kill Masturi, who is infatuated with him and is confused about her newfound feelings. I feel like it would be a lot easier on the mind if the team just attacked on sight insteading of building this false partnership with the divine trees.

I have a feeling Yodo will do something rash to tip off the divine trees that something amiss and the plan will go to shit.

That means dealing with a betrayed, enraged Masturi....great. I hope the team can survive the fight without Boruto intervening...

Also lol Jura paying for books. I guess he looted the money from the ninjas he slaughtered earlier. I like that aspect in him; Jura is an intriguing antagonist for sure.

Seeing the Divine Tree people from the angle that they are essentially ignorant babies acting on instinct rather volition gives them some depth. Konohomaru obviously feeling at odds at the idea of exploiting their "innocence" but as Shikamaru has stated their entire existence is a threat to humanity.

Jura being the oldest of them, can be reasonable, he buys books and doesn't go out of his way to destroy things just for the sake of it as he is in the pursuit of knowledge and finding a reason for his existence outside of the Divine's tree influence.

Shinki's Divine tree counterpart initially thought only of killing ninjas because that's what he was told to do and he didn't think of questioning it, after meeting and talking to them he formed his own opinion.

Unfortunately even though they can be reasoned with to some extent, the conversation then circles back that their existence is still a threat to humanity and the world so that by simply existing they are evil. They are still beholden to their instincts to devour the person they are obsessed with, and it would be rare to see them fight against that instinct with how infantile their thinking is at the moment.
