Diversifying is a good plan but their original plan wasn't about that, it was to limit it solely to their Discord which they already were posting. Maybe they were simply turtling up in fear of legal repercussion or maybe it was a cynical move to increase membership on their Discord that didn't pay off. I don't know and that is because they didn't bother to explain or justify their original decision.Chill. It seems to just be an honest mistake that has since been addressed.
And you can't blame groups wanting to move away from Mangadex given what happened a few months ago. It might be inconvenient but it's a good idea to start diversifying your sources if you want to continue this hobby - and that includes Discord.
Since they didn't think it worth giving the readers a reason (in fact their only explaination was a vague "for reasons" and promotion for their Discord) if some people do hold a negative attitude toward the group thats their own fault. How much time would it have taken to type out an extra sentence on the page announcing their intent to stop posting explaining that they were fearful of legal attention via Mangadex posting? If it was for more selfish reasons then it would make sense that they would keep it vague.
Personally I've withheld any judgements until I have more information. However, posting with a page missing certainly would make one think that it was just another tactic to get people on their discord to see the missing content. Yes it was a since corrected mistake but the original post by Bigaku didn't have that correction at the time to go by so his/her suspicions weren't unwarrented. When you consider that Mangadex had to impliment a policy against groups chopping up chapters (unless thats how its originally published in its magazine) for partial upload in order to hold back the latter parts as limited time exclusives on their own sites that only shows this is not an unknown tactic.
