For a good while, I thought it was Gen trying to kill himself when she arrived back in her apartment and this is the "salvation" Yuko planned for him, then after seeing the comments here I realized that Gen is in Tokyo lol.

Still, how in the world did she manipulate the man who could command her sexual services for years to agree to kill himself. This woman just keeps people around, gives them the illusion that they're in control, oppressing her, even... but then just tosses them out of her plan (killing them) whenever she deems it convenient or necessary.
