Fun fact. I read this manga start to finish across multiple trips to Barnes and Noble many years back. It was a pretty good read back then, i enjoyed most of it and i recommend reading it if it seems interesting to you. A solid 8.5 (which i rounded up to 9).
I read this at the library when I was like 12, it (and the anime adaptation) still hold a special place in my heart. It's short and sweet, only 2 arcs, a microcosm of shounen escalation. The author of Rurouni Kenshin hadn't lost his touch!
They had the whole thing in English at my local library. It's fairly straightforward shounen but with enough self-awareness to stand out and be interesting. The official translation is good so if you want to read the rest that's a viable option.
