I'm not going to comment on the MTL and I know you already got roasted pretty hard on r/mangadex, but all I have to say is that there's lot of free fonts to download that'll match better with manga. You don't have to use Comic Sans. I'm not a scanlator, just a reader. However, that doesn't mean I can't see that Comic Sans doesn't fit too well here (or on anything).

Here's a guide Thiedes on MangaDex's Discord server links. It lists some fonts that might be worth looking into using. I know it's probably not the best guide, but it's the one I have on hand right now. You'll probably get some better font recommendations from other scanlation guides and scanlators themselves.
