Turning "TS" into "trans" is a poor translation. Though the etymology is likely related to the English "transsexual", in Japanese it is mostly used to refer to specifically fictional magical genderswapping, which is different from the meaning of "trans" to English readers. Also, a character might be genderswapped by a magic spell to a girl but that doesn't mean they wanted to be, they're different terms. Just using "TS" in the title would be both simpler and more accurate.

I mean it's an interesting conundrum, choosing between the ability to use your legs and your biological sex, and I hope it gets explored more throughout the series, and it doesn't just devolve into a plain-jane TS romance story. And I do kinda agree with the westernized naming vs the trope it's following not matching up, but others have already mentioned that, so I won't beat a dead horse here.

Also, I don't know if this is the translator's word choice, or just the author disregarding real life logic. What kind of treatment could possibly change someone's gender...? Even if her gender somehow switched from boy to girl, she'd still have to go through HRT process, which wasn't mentioned. Did the doctors pump her body with estrogen juice? XD Your body doesn't magically go from one thing to another. Or maybe she just made up an excuse.
Or maybe this is just a manga's logic and I'm reading too much into it.
