Recently in the manga Days, the ref blew his whistle in the middle of a play, so that an actual goal just before half time didn't count.

However unrealistic this manga is, it feels nice to be reading a manga where the author actually understands the fucking rules of the game. Until the ball is properly cleared, the play isn't over and the ref can't blow his whistle.

@codetaku guess the author has improved with the game rules. Still how to make sure Japan does not completely trash the opposition? Make sure certain players are injured come the next game. Igawa will probably be injured too.
