I feel like there's a crucial difference she isn't seeing, she had a blessing and couldn't change her future, only her king could as he had a gift from the Sea (as it's highly hinted that he had a similar encounter as Julian).
And even if it was inherited, it's still the blessing, as the prince had his well deserves death. She's only forcing that future to happen as what happened to her. Unlike her king that actually said to not do shit, which would have actually changed his future.
tl;dr... she's a moron and doesn't have the power to change destiny unlike her king that prolly would have saved himself with his decision to not poke the beast.

I would say Diana is gonna rise a revolution as even if the king is just, the kingdom is rise in a pool of blood, and probably people just like the village they were before were almost killed for saving a baby will rise... She's gonna make people hate the king because she isn't gonna compromise in using innocents to kill the kid.

and if she makes the mistake and sorry for the edge, it would be great if Julian blinds her instead of killing her.

Yeah, there is some high tier fuckery going on. First off, the sea horror is NOT the only horror, as Jullian fought one earlier. So there is a good chance that she is NOT seeing prophecy, but is being misled as a pawn in eldrich horror feuds.

Also, is she 100% sure that child IS the child of prophecy? GF no 1 has dark hair, and we know power is passed on by birth, so I can see this starting a war of vengeance.

yeah, and author could be sneaky enough to make a blessing of someone changing their face or appearance while being a spy from another kingdom to kill the king while using the child as scapegoat and the spy would know about her, 'cause the oracle just doesn't shut her mough about the child of prophecy.
