I was thinking it would end up something like Berserk. The MC is "cursed", although in this case, it's initially called a blessing and it does give him strength, but at the same time, just like Guts is constantly hunted by monsters since he is a sacrifice for the gods, in here, the other gods seem to hunt those related to other gods.

The strange, terrifying depiction of the woods here is amazing; the only other story i've seen so far that makes me feel like this is that one comic His Face All Red

Still no creepy goat, maybe its just this creature shapeshift to spy on our mc or maybe goat is the old protector of the forest but now weaker, etc2.
