Adonis will win the tournament because the author is really selling him to us, which is unfortunate because Cestus is supposed to be the main character/attraction. Cestus fought the phantom guy but he didn't get the attention he deserves, especially after defeating such an orthodox opponent; even Mutanga gained respect and he only fought a brawler in Abdelos. Now i'm not gonna go and pretend that Cestus was the favorite to win to begin with but come on...the guy got side-tracked in his own manga by Ruska and his cocky group of assassins, even Zafar got some back story going for him. Meanwhile, Cestus had no back story and until now he is only getting talked down to as if he is some sort of an amateur... I HATE IT MAN.

@mustaphaouhain Eh, Cestvs still has plenty of time to shine, he is no weakling either, he already entered a high-level tournament (instead of that other young star boxer in his group, who is always getting shafted in-story by the owner in favor of Cestvs in getting the best/hypest matches despite holding the position of their group's best) and it's not like he was getting wrecked by the Phantom, he quite quickly figured out his trick and even had the time to try experimenting with his new strategy. Not to mention that he already managed to gain respect and interest of Zafar's old master.

@mustaphaouhain they are just giving more story to the other characters to make them more interesting, it would be boring if it was just cestus and a bunch of nameless dudes. and what do you mean he had no backstory? he has like 14 volumes of backstory
