this doesn't compare to Berserk's eclipse event - there was actually a lot of emotional weight to the characters who went through that apocalypse. CSM has been a parade of death left and right since it started, so it's difficult to invest deeply in anyone at this point. i guess i'll keep reading it as a sort of black comedy though

Man the paneling here is insane. Manga as a medium works really well for stuff like this and Fujimoto certainly knows how to use it. The darkness beeing thr devils cloak but also the panel border. Peak.

Is Aki going to pull the final sacrifice play? I don't think power is dead there was a joke that she's faked her own being hit earlier so I think she's alive. The humans are very dead I'm going to have to go check on Angel but I'm pretty sure he's fine and will make it out I'm just trying to see how that happens at this point
