Chapter 'Read' status not registering

I've read several chapters today and they're not registered as 'read', even though I've brute-force it by clicking the 'read' eye symbol next to the chapter number, but they're reverted back to 'unread'.

Older chapters are already 'read' though. Just today that the newer chapters are not marked as 'read'.

This happens once in a while, and usually clears itself up after an hour or two. Seems to be something on the back end getting bogged down a bit.
