She's catching on. It's been so long since I read that arc, did she not eat carrots then too? As for the og ML... ugh. I'm all for doting and pampering but not when it is treating the lives of innocent people as disposable.

For previous chapter, Xia-xia was right to tell her rat bamboo to watch Jing-si rather than the villains.

I think I should reread cultivation arc of them the original Jing-chen who later made Xia-xia commit suicide knowing how deviated that world was because of him and the fact he will go to any length keeping Xia-xia by his side as a true yandere of whole CMMD. Hence I'm really worried whether she will commit suicide again in this sequel arc, even tho the bond between Jing-si and her is played more lightly thru jokes. I do really hope Jing-si has grown up thru years living in seclusion and in new worlds he was part of just to look for her.
