I feel as though it looks like Chihiro is getting closer to an emotional tipping point. I believe it is an intentional choice that she is facing away from the old guys in the chapter title.

She likes the vibes in the store, and takes action when the owner of the store confesses that he is the only one drinking alcohol in the business. She opens up shop and starts being a bit of a dick with the customers walking in.

What I find interesting is the cognitive dissonance at the end. She thinks she’s a lazy person that dislikes putting effort in helping others and that she never strived to be a good person. Yet, she is consistently putting effort in helping others and being a good person. Cause let’s face it, her service was shit, and she knows it the guys are there because she is hot. I believe her not wanting to hang out with old guys like every night was the truth.

What sucks, is, although she raised money for the owner, the store still closed down, and she loses another place she can recharge and relax in town. A+ writing.
