Thank you Uxtef for another chapter. I can't say I'm too happy about the author's pacing though. Yes, we do get to see what the supposed enemies are like, but the method the author chose just sapped the energy from the story in general. Took the wind from the sails completely. Oh well.

@TheBlueCat you have to admit tho that this is prolly the only series where you see the MOST LIBERAL use of isekai mechanics. i'm curious as to the reaction when 2 big gangs of isekai guys meet each other

@Wolvenworks it's interesting that it seems to be the same combination of powers, since the guy says he's a beast tamer, the loli is a dungeon master...though they don't seem to have a healer, or clairvoyant, definitely no pint sized wrecking ball.... I guess they are just sort of similar then, unlike the other neighboring country.

I liked this manga more when it didn't have clear antagonist.
Instead of that could've just shown how different countries deal with japanese summons.

just because someone schemes doesn't always means they're bad.
foil maybe, but i can't see any scenario where they're going to clash with each other. at most some political cold war thingy caused by different nationality.

@mage_goo well that would be nice, but when someone schemes and talks with literal shadow, while able to control some others to an extend. That seems quite stereotypical setup for a bad guy which pulling the strings to me.
Sure it can go against said stereotype, but I kinda doubt it. If anything then it's not really presented all that well compared to the rest.

@ksen maybe i'm biased, but when you're a top dog running a nation/nation-class organization, having a couple shadows subordinate is a given.
and all his talk about controlling others is just like how those jaded veteran leader thinks, so it doesn't really strikes me as, well, evil. his method, although skirting the gray area, is still in the gray area after all.

you know what, all his behavior is really similar to the typical headmaster/guild master/king in those generic battle harem thingy, so maybe that's why i don't really find him antagonistic.

You see, it's funny that he mentions people unanimously believing information they gather themselves because the readers right now are convinced that this guy is a be-all-end-all villain.

@superdoofus Actually he couldn't be, there are other villains we've seen, like that guy that was talking to someone with that water thing. I'm thinking that neither of them is the "big bad" of the series and more like, annoying little villains that will just be wiped out in 1 or 2 chapters when they need to be. Plus it seems like that shadow he was talking to would be kind of his boss, making him a "bigger bad" than this guy is. But I bet there are a lot of people thinking that he is the be-all-end-all villain. I hope I didn't come off as rude, but that's what I think is going on.

Well. For him being a villain, this poor town he took over is doing rather well. Maybe he actually is a good guy, who decided to dive into and use the grey area to do good, because this was the only way he could use his power for good.

His power might be, "Charm Creatures". Too bad that nobles and other people are creatures, too.

I hope the author is trying to fool us into believing, he is a bad guy. But he really has this ominous atmosphere around him. He might as well be indeed an a$$hole.
