thanks for picking this back up! idk if it's 'worth it' to watch the movie, but this is interesting as a standalone

Though it would be amusing if some mini stand set up outside the movie theater or some bookstore being within the street/walking distance from one or so as a promo

I knew that boy was trouble tho surprised his parents was told/found out in the first place

Thanks for replying! I haven't seen the movie either but Oshimi is one of my favorite mangaka so I wanted to see the rest of this in english. Really enjoying what he did with it, chapters 9&10 should be up sometime within the next week!

yeah i don't watch a lot of movies compared to jdramas but the horror stuff, despite it being fairly popular in japan, can be hit or miss or even borderline 'cringey' in live action form versus psych horror/manipulation that doesn't necessarily have direct violence

It's the classic Oshimi plot here. The friend of the protagonist who seems to be a "good person" happens to be the one who will bring the most amount of disaster
