Reserved this post because I need to make an explanation about who is who and what they're doing, not only because they previous chapter's explanation was tl;dr but I also want people to know what the hell is happening in this manga 😔
Sorry about that, I wanted to introduce at least all the named characters that will be returning in the Sagamihara Kiheitai saga, but the list got TL and now that I look back at it even I wanted to DR it 😰
Trying to explain it myself:
The main characters of this manga are members of the
Komae Gurentai (which I'm only now learning was translated as "Komae Outlaws" in Out, but I'm gonna keep sticking to the Japanese name).
Machida Kokushi Toukonkai are an enemy biker gang that used to be led by a guy called "Ishioka". Another relevant biker gang is the
Chofu Kireitai (which I'm also only now learning was translated as "Choufu Devil Soldiers" in the other series), of which a guy called "Onizuka" is a big faction head (not a leader yet, however).
While Ishioka was still in charge of the Toukonkai, he made them ambush the other biker gangs' retirement ceremonies in order to spread his infamy around the city. This led to the then-leader of Chofu Kireitai being injured and arrested on his own retirement ceremony. Onizuka, who had deep respect for the leader, went off-the-wall angry and became determined to crush the Toukonkai, and through some misunderstandings, got convinced that the Gurentai had something to do with it as well.
First, Onizuka brings down the Toukonkai by abducting most of the Toukonkai members when Ishioka was away, and then luring Ishioka to his headquarters, where he gangs up on him. The other Toukonkai members are already sick of Ishioka, so they betray him and decide to go under Onizuka's command instead.
Onizuka then meets up with the acting Gurentai leader "Misaki", who convinces Onizuka that they had nothing to do with the incident. Onizuka is deeply moved by Misaki's actions and tells the Kireitai that the upcoming retirement ceremony of Misaki is not to be disturbed by anyone.
However, the remaining Toukonkai members do not get that message and are still under the assumption that the Gurentai are the Kireitai's enemies. They think ambushing Misaki's retirement ceremony would earn them some favors with Onizuka, and that is exactly what they do. That leads to Misaki's traffic accident that kills her instantly.
While Ishioka himself (and Okiura, who was Ishioka's loyal lackey and quit the Toukonkai around the same time as Ishioka) was not involved with the ambush on the Gurentai and are thus not under any bounty, the rest of the Toukonkai who ultimately caused Misaki's death are now being hunted by both the Gurentai and Onizuka faction in Kireitai.
