Could be the translation, but something about this doesn't really hit for me. Way too much exposition, the pace was blitzing, and the premise is too wild to just jump directly into it on page 1. Cover art is amazing though, and I like the style of the manga in general.
And I don't think this was intentional, but seeing everyone inexplicably sacrifice themselves for the main girl in almost back-to-back scenes was kind of hilarious. It felt like a condensed slapstick child-only version of AOT.

I bought the first volume and ngl, this looks just like a short story about surviving. But I like it so far.
