Pacing-wise the anime took its time unlike some others, only covering the 1st 2 LNs.

I recall some people out there (the ANN people) said they didn't like it, because they found the plot too slow and unserious, too much character banter and not enough action.

Eeeeh, people there tend to have bad taste with their anime opinions, so honestly I don't count much on their opinion.

Besides, if they actually bother to research, they should fully aware that the slow burn pace for anime are results of its age and a deliberate choice of author (for the record, WN started in 2014 and the LN started in 2016 plus already have a sequel ongoing)

And the anime reception is indeed positive among JP users.

Ehhh...those people are surely had some serious short attention span disorder. For me personally, the pace in the anime is perfect. Not too fast, but not too slow either. The studio really took their time for Usato's character development.

Can't wait to see the 2nd season. I assume, it will cover until Usato fight Nea's zombified evil dragon.

My man is a horn dog. He can only ever speak in honey pot tounge. I can only ever feel bad for all the gals that fall for him as he is unreliable as it gets . He is thicker than the smog in industrial London!

I am just happy that the biggest issue for me for this series is that it does not have enough chapters! Definitely looking forward to the end of kron saga. And just curious on how his friend and squad would react after he comes back with an army of girls with him

You're consuming too many Op over intelligent MC stories, if you're considering Usato as unreliable.

Well, now the flags are all there for the water to be used one way or another during the fight (whether it is drunk or not by whoever, we will see).

I assume she's gonna drink it. The line that gets repeated in this chapter is probably important: it's "Those who seek it for greed and avarice shall lose their minds", not just "those who drink it".

So basically, I think the point of this conversation is that beneath it all, she really was going to drink it for selfish reasons, because she just wanted to be free from the burden of others' expectations. But now, having been pep talked by Usato, when the plan fails and everyone's about to die, she'll "sacrifice herself" by drinking the water so that she can save everyone. However, in doing so, because she's legitimately doing it for other peoples' sake now (and not for her own), plot device magic will happen and it won't actually corrupt her, and she'll get to live.

I just consider him mistaking the vamp girl blush for fever and so forth unreliable. That and he did waver and if not the hero visiting him, he would not talk her out of using the water. Kinda a big deal given that if they didn't talk she would have died trying to fight the dragon guy no?

I think it was a great adaptation they made, especially moving rose talking about her past and the way it is brought is more organic than the manga. Though it could be that way in the ln, haven't read it.
