Turns out there's consequences to being a Saintess and continuing to act as evil hearted as Amy has. In Canon as in the OG STORY its assumed because she was pure as in she never actively participated in evil acts as the girl who incarnated as her, as even every bad thing that happe ed to "the villianess" was that POS prince and his father's actions and choices and she was ignorant of them she still qualified as "charity" but thanks to being a bitch, Amy falls into "the witch of envy" instead

This is a new plot point the manga added involving the sword which played no further part after Ana was rescued, Ana becomes a Saintess in response to Amy brainwashing and one last mockery by the universe to Amy that she devolved herself to the story NEW Villianess as a WITCH while the Universe made Ana the Saintess instead. Hope Allen actually askes the question HOW even the Prince and his father "still counted as good guys" and Ana, her people and her family got registered for such bad ends especially Ana where the story acted like she deserved the bad that happened to her when it's obvious the Prince was the POS (he still had her kidnapped and gangrapped in the OG story, the change was thankfully her adventure with Allen got her blessed and protected, maybe the spirits weren't aware because OG Amy while ignorant was genuinely good just surrounded by an Evil person aka the Prince, but here amy is genuinely evil and gets worse the more Allen interfered by taking specific boons before she did, making her get worse in response which makes her more unworthy

It's Ana! In the Novel she will awaken as a Saintess. Funny enough Amy loses her Saintess status, devolving into the OPPOSITE of a Saintess.....a Witch! The Witch of Envy. The Sword really wasn't in the plot after Ana was rescued nor was the backstory of it told, this is a Manga thing, and I like it! It makes the Empire and Baldy even though he's dead more vile, Gives Ana MORE to do as a Saintess beyond being a "Take that" to Ana and curing her brainwashing power!

Yeah he's as horrid in the novel as he was in the Manga, the manga just gave him more screen time and I'm still laughing at how the OG STORY seem to excuse his and his son's horrid actions (seriously, Allen hates the Prince yet there's a consideration that his evil is Amy's fault.....yet in the OG story he still had Ana kidnapped and gangraped, in the OG Amy isn't evil because that's the OG and not the Reincarnated girl. So Karl has no excuses, at best you could say Amy brainwashing made him MORE prone to vile behavior where he better hid it in the OG.

It was at the awarding he declared Allen the "Royal Adventurer" (Meaning he was exclusively working for the roysl family" instead of here. It was funny watching him try to move the goalpost on giving Allen Noble status, only for Allen to have met them BECAUSE he and the Duke knew he'd pull bullshit 😆
