Somewhere along the way i was thinking this ended because it was axed but i guess not, i think the pacing was bad in general and the open ended ending was weird. We don't really get to know more about Siros (Soros?)
And i'm guessing Kuro created a parallel universe where the seven years war doesn't happen. I was expecting some romance to happen but i guess him finding out Kempelen was his real dad and warping back in time to be with him was the happy ending Kuro wanted.
The chess shown in it was pretty solid and well researched, just there wasn't a whole lot of it going on. if you removed it from the equation i would rate this a decent 7. But i appreciate what the author tried to do here.
