I blame the author not knowing how to write a good story.
The MC was presented as being highly competent just to be turned into a idiot when reincarnated with the rare shown of "competence" when the plot requires it.
The character of the MC was shown to be badly written when he got stuck into being the head of a failure of a noble family when there was way better and more important things to do with his time than helping Paril mother bad the head of the house.

Yeah, this is very poorly written. I feel like there was a better initial intended direction, but the after making this MC seem competent again, the author just forced incompetence into the plot. If this world is so hard set like this, then she should honestly have been mercy killed at birth as she is essentially powerless. And there is seemingly nothing she can do to "fix" it as there is not a way to increase her mana capacity that we know of yet. It doesn't seem like effort alone can fix it either. So MC is basically going to become a supporting character in their own story to whomever gives her a pity handout because he is horny.

Now, why they introduced her as a noble, when she isn't meant to be treated, seen as, or even use any of the power that comes from being one, is such a bullshit excuse that the author tossed in just to make the MC a target for bullying. It is very unprofessional of the school to incite harassment when they themselves agreed to and set the precedent for her to be treated no different than any other student attending.

I can't see this MC getting anywhere given this setup becauae they haven't shown a way to do so. His knowledge will not do it, as shown already. She is powerless, even less than a common person is, and they spent 25+chapters basically showing that MC is worthless because it doesn't matter how talented elsewhere you are if you have no magic ability. How she managed to rein even get this far in life is beyond me.

MC is basically juat a battery now for someone else's power, and even then they suck at being one. And it has yet to be shown how to change that. And if it can't be changed, then this isn't worth reading anymore because the plot will be going nowhere for a long time it seems.

Only thing I would say is that there was a chapter where the MC used magic and the other characters acted like it was impressive, some future cut where they were fighting a mintaur or something, so he is not completely useless with magic just too stupid to look information about mana and use of magic beforehand, which is another stance of the author forcing the MC to be incompetent to fit his narrative.

I agree with you about the world building being badly done with the sole reason to make things hard for the MC.

Honestly though. A part of me just thinks that this is less of a story, and more of an anti-misogynist piece given how blatantly strong the MC came out in the beginning as being. And now he is forced into a body he felt is inferior, and into a world where women are superior, but he alone is kept specifically as infirior just as a punishment. Then it got popular because it was interesting, so the kept going, trying to build a story around it, but realized if they did, then MC would need to not be inferior anymore, which goes against the M.O. So now they are trying to work both angles.
