I kind of liked his monologuing in which he reflects on different things including trivial stuff like stocking shelves, cramming books and wishing good fortune to each kid. He's kind, simple-minded and quite a doormat, but he's not stupid and has a ton of assorted life experience. The addition of the 100-year-old... uh, shota is freaking wild, though.

That's my assumption, as well, because a kuro gyaru is pretty distinctive, but within the chapter itself, the last time she's shown is on page 16 (out of 56), maybe page 27 at the latest if you assume that the girl we see from behind is her.

Post-transfer, the four main "heroes" are pretty much the only ones shown beyond the faceless mobs, though Bangs-chan shows up a couple times.

Lots of words but honestly the set up is a lot more reasonable than other works with similar plots.
I'll give it about 4 chapters of good will, then I'll decide whether the cliches are worth it.

Too much explanation of things that should be tropes by now.
But maybe that's their aim, purposely piss people off to give weight to things, like Endless Eight giving people the time loop fatigue. They really didn't need to introduce everyone one by one.

I like the guy attitude so I'd give this a chance.

I agree with some of the sentiment, but I don't find the wall of text particularly annoying. In fact, it felt in-character. Most of the narration is not from a third party narrator but from our protagonist himself. Which means the narration sneaks in a bit of characterization for him, which is the problem with exposition dumps, they are just empty story without character.

The fact he is just as droning and long winded before the isekai as he is during and after it means its on purpose. Man is very slow and analytical.
