Japanese, specially japanese MC are very insular and shortsighted in what to doBro isn't even thinking of becoming a translator/interpreter for the government or even the UN given his infinite range of language knowledge? Bruuhh.
Would you even think about it, if you were in his shoes? So bizarre that he was considering not getting stronger “because he didn’t need it”. Imagine being in a situation where someone he cares about suffers an injury that he could have otherwise prevented with an ability… that hypothetical situation would be more than enough for most people to power up skills.
To be fair I do not think any high school boy who doesn't have plans to go into the government would be like "I could use this to be a translator for the government! Easy money!" Like I bet most adults wouldn't even think that and then you also have to explain your qualifications and how you got them which is a whole nother can of worms.Bro isn't even thinking of becoming a translator/interpreter for the government or even the UN given his infinite range of language knowledge? Ok, the part about thinking that as a high school boy is fair. Same as explaining the qualifications. But you could just say "oh, I was self-taught" or "I want to an oversea school/stay". No way to check it (or very hard). To be fair I do not think any high school boy who doesn't have plans to go into the government would be like "I could use this to be a translator for the government! Even setting aside the qualifications, background checks, and the nature of the job, conversational translation work is fucking hard. You basicly have to keep two conversations, in two different languages, going in your head at the same time. Then you have to relay those conversations to their respective sides as accurately as possible. High stress, shit pay, and you are seen as more a tool then a person... Not a job I would ever willingly do.Ok, the part about thinking that as a high school boy is fair. Same as explaining the qualifications.
