the funny thing about claymore is that its world building is so unique that we don't even see the abyssals as magic, or any of the yoma energy, it almost feels like biopunk, like everything is somewhat "scientific" i don't know how to describe it,
I think its because they don't outright give people fire or magic abilities,
and everything is physical, so it somehow feels more fesible to be possible in a real world,
dunno maybe im the only one who feels this way,
i still feel claymore is more sci fi/ biopunk than actual fantasy some how, due to the biological experiments and the fact that everything is organic, even though it should be impossible to regenerate or form that much mass with a single body etc
