I legit hate everyone in this. MC oscillates between anger and shyness with no other personality, his dad is an enabler in a way I don't believe he would be able to help someone who was a shut-in and pushes stupid blame onto his son, the woman is not nearly as empathetic as I believe she's supposed to seem since she started off by deceiving MC, and new girl is in my opinion (having not read any farther) trying to manipulate him into something and in addition is way too fucking full of herself. MC ends up being the most likeable almost by default because he's the only one who has done anything remotely altruistic.

Yea this is why you almost never seek tutoring from your own classmates, the competitiveness, and stress does not make them effective teachers, i have a hard time believing shes willing to forego her own studying time even if its just to make some quick side cash.
