It may be a cultural thing in Japan since I see a lot of the lines like this in numerous manga (especially Kaos in this series),
but I never can understand these "I'm not worthy" type of overly self-consciousness.
Just wear the damn glasses if you want to. No one gives a shit whether you try to wear them for looks or eye sights.
