there are lots of racism in this this manga later on when Conde Koma meets more black and white ppl. Both in the way they treated him and what he said back to them. At some point, he even commented on his Caucasian gf's sex performance to get back at the US gov guys talking down on him. I think that;s mainly the reason why many ppl hesitate to pick this one up.
