i checked and it seems they didnt steal other people's scanlated chapters, but have a self publishing part on their site so other people can upload their translations there... but, i saw they did steal official licensed chapters from mangas, and i saw people mention those official chapters were put behind paywall too with philia watermarks...
A few no group scanlators reported them for stealing their chapters. Turns out they downloaded no group chapters from comick, an aggregator. Their gl then telling us that our problem should be with Comick ("isn't it your job to also check other websites?"), etc. didn't help them when he was appealing the ban.
And I'm not even mentioning their website being more than just "excessive profiteering" for being filled with trackers/ads, having an overpriced shop with 133 chapters for $43 (4000 coins)?????
An official publisher offering such prices already shouldn't be acceptable (cough webtoons.com), but a
scanlation group doing this is an entirely different thing...
Fun fact, lots of the independent uploads are on their site because they pay them from the money they got with their ads and overpriced shop.
Meanwhile when they share the reason of their ban on their Discord where they just get banned "just after we agreed to credit them" and conveniently leave out everything else.
Not to speak of them already being banned. Their gl appealed it and it was just simply denied.
