Bullseye.

I don't like the ex but he does have a point. It could be exhausting, being in a relationship, and having your SO always doubt your feelings for them. I understand both sides. But the ex is still shit though >_>

Thank you for updating!

I understand how it could be so exhausting having a partner be so insecure that they're always doubting your feelings, but that's not how the ex framed their break up. Asshole, just admit you weren't good enough for him.

Yajimas dilemma is different. Torikai doesn't doubt his feelings, but it seems he still harbors some anxiety about the future of their relationship, which in turn gives Yajima anxiety. I hope Yajima ends up wiping the floor with the ex's ego.

When I was in Japan I was having a conversation with some gay men, and when I said that I didn't really care about gender, they went 😐 and walked away without another word.

Told a friend and she goes "Yeah, don't tell people that. They'll think you're just experimenting, and not like you."
"...That's awful."

2010.
I hope times have changed. I'm also not in the market for a relationship.
Considering I apparently carry a risky form of HPV (my ex couldn't be arsed to ask her doctor which one when we eventually broke up), and there being a 2% chance of anyone who has not been vaccinated and has a cervix catching cancer from me? Yeah, I'm way too neurotic to not need to see a gardasil vaccination card or something.

May as well do skeet shooting in the city
Edit: I didn't see the punpertunity there and I hate what it is.

The ex is actually a yapper lol He was just dying to trash talk about his ex lol I get it, sometimes you want to vent to someone that can relate and complain together.
I mean, he acted horribly too on their breakup because he felt Torikai only cared about his career and lookdown on him for not aiming higher.
He probably isn't a bad guy, he also had complains abt their relationship and wanted to vent to someone. Not sure if doing to Yajima is a good idea.

I'm honestly confused about what happened between Torikai and his ex. I thought their problem was mainly incompatibility because of ambition levels, but now there was also insecurity about his partner's feelings from Torikai? I know a relationship can have multiple problems, but I didn't expect that one based on that break up scene in chapter 4.

Thanks for the chapter!

It's a bit of a soft retcon if we're being honest. The motive of the break up was Torikai hyper-driven personality (which is why Yajima is a good match for him), but I guess as the story expands over its initial premise there is a necessity to further explore their personalities. So may as well use the ex for that, people are complex and there can be multiple faces of a relationship (and we do know Yajima is the more shy one when it comes to love).

I'm curious how Kamome is gonna end this story-line tbh, they are in awkward spot where it's not like they are fighting so I can't quite see a clear-cut resolution. At least I'd like to see Torikai be more proactive. Despite people complaining about Yajima saying "I love you" in a bit of a roundabout way, he's certainly investing 100% of himself in the relationship. (I guess his giant... ego also makes him not give a shit about what people think if people find out he's living with another man lol).
