tbf, their positions aren't really comparable. One has to follow up a near perfect tournament arc while the other just has to focus on a good tournament and end it it there but i get your frustration. Seeing fan fiction surpass the canon material really makes me ask "Bro what the fuck is going on in the kengan writing room"

Fans often overestimate the thoughtfulness of their favorite work and do not have the author's limitations, so in many cases fan fiction is actually better written than the original work. At least from a plot point of view.
