I still don't understand why bell peppers are seen as gross in Japan. Bell peppers were one one of my favorite things to eat as a kid.
Yea, Japanese kids hate bell peppers and carrots for some reason despite then being one of the easiest ones to eat here in the West.
I mean, being very much a West kid I'm fond of carrots, but I'm also not fond of bell peppers.

I'll even go so far as to say I don't like salad in the least.

About the bell peppers thing, from what I recall, it is specifically the dark green, unripe bell peppers. In Japan, they are called piman, which are known for their bitterness and for being hated by Japanese children.

Bell peppers is one of the few things I still don't like, along with onions. I've never eaten a meal that was better with them than without. Pretty much all other vegetables or foods I'm fine with (unless I'm allergic).

I have no qualms with bell peppers...........As a pizza topping where it has very little power over the dish.
